Popis: The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic reinforced the importance of Primary Health Care – PHC. In Brazil, the Sistema Unico de Saude – SUS (Unified Health System) still lacks human resources with an adequate profile to work at this level of care, so there is a need for changes in training. At the beginning of the century, the adoption of new National Curricular Guidelines Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais – DCN sought to readjust the profile of the undergraduation, with the valuation of the necessary expertise to work in SUS/APS. The objectives of this article were to correlate the DCN of courses in the health area (Physical Education, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Nutrition, Dentistry, Psychology, Social Work and Occupational Therapy) in relation to the approach to PHC and incite the debate about the needs adjustment of professional training in the post-pandemic. For the analysis, PHC attributes and common guidelines for undergraduate health courses were based on the Conselho Nacional de Saude – CNS (National Health Council). Most DCN signal professional training geared to the needs of SUS, strengthening team work to seek integrality, recognize the health-disease-care process in an expanded context and encourage different methodologies in the teaching-learning process. Interprofessional training, collaborative work, procedural assessment and longitudinality of care were elements that were not addressed in the guidelines. The DCN for Physical Education, Psychology and Social Work were the ones that least addressed elements related to PHC taxes. Finally, the DCNs need to be revised to conform to the common assumptions for health graduation proposed by the CNS.
