Popis: | Chronic exposure of humans to benzene causes bone marrow depression leading to pancytopenia and aplastic anemia (Goldstein, B.D., 1983). Benzene also causes genotoxic effects such as structural chromosome aberrations and DNA strand breaks (Dean, B.J., 1985) that might be related to the increased incidence of acute myelogenous leukemia that is associated with chronic exposure (Infante, P.F., White, M.C., 1983; Aksoy, M., 1985; Arp, E.W., et al., 1983). |
