Integrated approach in designing photovoltaic power plant

Popis: In the context of a continuous increase of energy demand that contributes to the acceleration of climate change, at a global level special attention is paid to energy efficiency activities. In the beginning, this paper evaluates the energy sector at global, European and national level, therefore, an overview of the evolution of renewable energy sources over the last few years is elaborated, focusing in particular on the current situation and development prospects of the photovoltaic sector. The main objective of the authors is the design of a photovoltaic (PV) park located in Romania. Using PVsyst software, the optimal sizing and configuration of the system was performed, as well as an estimation of the future performances of the installed equipment. To determine the economic and financial effects of the implementation of a photovoltaic park, three different scenarios on the payback period of the initial investment and calculation of some financial indicators was performed.
