Investigation of Urbach's rule region in undoped and Cu doped (80 −x)Sb2O3–20Li2O–xMoO3glasses

Popis: | The aim of this study is to analyse the interactions of the excitations by the light absorption (excitons) with phonons of undoped and Cu doped (80 − x)Sb2O3–20Li2O–xMoO3 glasses (x = 0, 10, 20 and 30 mol%). We report on optical absorption of these materials at room temperature in the spectral region 2.54–2.87 eV. The explanation of Urbach's rule is given. Urbach's parameter σ(T) is determined for all samples. The dynamic disorder and phonon frequencies are calculated. The shape of Urbach's energy is also investigated. |
