Popis:	The works of A. P. Gulyaev devoted to the study and creation of steels and alloys with special properties are considered. The authors of the paper are known specialists in the field of corrosion-resistant materials. They have worked with Gulyaev for many years at the Institute of Quality Steels at TsNIIchermet. N. A. Sorokina and A. P. Shlyamnev began as his postgraduate students. T. V. Svistunova was invited by him to the editorial board of our journal in 1991 and continues this work at present.
