Popis: | Molten metals are now often used as working media, due to the increase in working temperatures in power installations. The object of the present work is to study the effect of a molten metallic medium (Pb--Sn) on friction in Armco iron specimens at temperatures of 300-500~ and specific pressures of up to 9 kg/mm 2. Experiments were conducted under the same conditions in an atmosphere of argon for comparison purposes, using a specially developed test installation. The contact surfaces of the specimens were spherical, ensuring self-alignment in the process of loading. The friction force was measured with an elastic dynamometer with strain gauge sensors; the readings were plotted on a PDS-021 XY-recorder. |
