Popis: | A brain tumor is a deadly disease and exists in a variety of shapes and sizes. Magnetic Resonance Images (MRI) segmentation is a functional solution for diagnosis of brain tumor. MRI segmentation is a crucial step in a task in Computer-Aided Diagnosis of brain tumor for identification of the region of interest. Segmentation separates tumor tissues from the rest of the details of the MR image which in turn governs the quality of Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) system of brain tumor. A wide variety of segmentation techniques have been proposed for the identification of tumors in brain MRI. This paper presents a review of state-of-art brain tumor segmentation techniques and shows qualitative and quantitative performance comparison of existing methods. |
