Popis: The article describes the essence of the concept of "creative imagination", which has been studied extensively in literature. The cognitive development of a child is characterized as an important aspect of the formation of its psyche. The structure and indicators of creative activity are given. It is shown that creative activity consists of building and expressing one's own meanings in relation to another person. It is these two important components - meaning formation and targeting - that are indicators of this activity. It is noted that the very meanings of a child are a material attempt to build a dialogue with the world, an attempt to find its place in it. Three stages of the develop-ment of imagination are identified: objectification, planning, mastering the basic pat-terns of behavior and types of activity. It is emphasized that the leap in the development of imagination is reflected in the child's play.
