Popis: | Results of papers previously published by Takeuchi and Katzer suggesting mechanisms for the methanol and ethanol synthesis via CO hydrogenation without dissociation in the presence of supported Rh catalysts are not questioned. However, an alternate pathway for the oxygen scrambling at the C/sub 2/ level and an interpretation of the small, but significant, changes in the isotopic distribution of CO in the gas phase are presented. |
