Simulation of Electric Starter in the Electric Starting System of a Modern Car

Popis: As an electric drive, carrying out the start of the internal combustion engine of the car, DC motors are currently used. They have a large number of disadvantages and low efficiency. In this article, on the basis of the developed model, the possibility of improving the energy performance of the electric starter by replacing the DC motor with a synchronous machine with excitation from permanent magnets is substantiated. Developed in the Matlab Simulink model of the electric motor allows to evaluate the operation of the electric starter in the process of starting the car engine.
