Popis: The system described in this article is responsible for remote data acquisition via Modbus Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), without involving a data acquisition device, such as a programmable logic controller (PLC). Data interpretation and storage is done solely by software, and data visualization is done using any fixed or mobile terminal, it being only a matter of querying a structured query language (SQL) database. Thus, the use of any other peripheral equipment, the human factor in the data acquisition loops, the equipment status uncertainty is eliminated and errors within the control loops are reduced.
