Popis: COVID-19, has had a detrimental effect on every facet of human life, especially Dental healthcare settings, after it has been declared as a global pandemic with mode of transmission being predominantly direct contact, droplet and airborne. Dental settings are among the highest risk for transmission, for both DHCP and patients owing to its unique characteristics. Any dental institution operates with academics, patient care, and research as important realms. This chapter explicates the systematic approach adopted by a dental institution as a measure of preparedness and response to the pandemic, thus ensuring safety to all its stakeholders. This involved development of a guideline document which was preceded by the formation of a coalition team. The document categorised the approach into clinical, academics and research with appropriately delegating the responsibilities to Hospital Infection control Committee (HICC), Health Profession Education Unit (HPEU) and Scientific Committee.
