Popis:	The crystal structure of the title compound, ethyl 2,2-di­­hy­droxy-2-(3-oxo-3,4-di­hydro­quinoxalin-2-yl)­acetate, C12H12N2O5, indicates a short intramolecular contact between the N1 atom and a hydroxyl group [2.772 (4) A]. Two intermolecular hydrogen bonds participate in the molecular packing.
