Routine method for the determination of organophosphorus insecticides by thin-layer chromatography A procedure is described for the identification of organophosphorus insecticides by thin-layer chromatography using two types of adsorbent, viz. silica gel and polyamide, six solvent systems, and three main visualisation procedures, viz. UV absorption and the use of nitrobenzylpyridine or palladium chloride as chromogenic sprays. This method allows the separation and identification of an organophosphorus insecticide using at most four consecutive chromatograms. |
