In this paper, a direct power modulation control strategy for three-phase four-switch bidirectional interface is proposed. In the proposed strategy, the instantaneous active and reactive powers are directly synthesized within a sampling period. The duty ratios, for which each of the switching states is to be applied, are calculated by solving three linear algebraic equations. The steady state and dynamic results of the proposed strategy are presented. The performance of the proposed strategy is compared with that of conventional control. It is shown that the proposed control strategy exhibits improved input current quality, reduced DC output voltage with negligible ripple, and constant switching frequency. |
