Popis:	Assignments of the hydroxylated aromatic carbons C-2 and C-4 of zearalenone and its derivatives are reported. The C-2 carbon is more deshielded than C-4 for zearalenones in which the C-2 hydroxy group is intramolecularly hydrogen-bonded to the C-12 lactone carbonyl.
