Popis: During a solid state fermentation process, the microorganisms are intimately bound to a solid matrix, which poses difficulties for biomass measurements. Unlike submerged fermentation, fungal biomass cannot be quantitatively separated from the solid medium, and hence, direct measurements are impossible.
