Popis: The authors of the article tried to consider the researches on the history of Ukrainian philosophy conducted in Ukraine in 1950-2000 as primarily an academic discipline. The development of this discipline was influenced by both institutional and extra-institutional (mainly ideological) factors. To distinguish which factors dominated in different periods the authors carried out a content analysis of publications (monographs, academic and popular articles, dissertations) which were published at that time. The unit of the analysis was the title of a publication. As a result of this study, there were distinguished four pe-riods of the development of this academic discipline: 1) 1950-1968, 2) 1969-1972, 3) 1973-1990, 4) 1991-2000. Each of these periods is characterized by different publica-tion intensity and the domination of different topics.
