Popis: Tobacco was transplanted at the Coastal Plain Experiment Station, Tifton, GA, on 29 Mar. Plots 3 rows wide (36 inches apart) by 20 ft long were arranged in a randomized complete block design replicated 4 times. Treatments were separated by single untreated border rows with the center row of each 3 row plot being sprayed. Blocks were separated by 5 ft vacant alleys on each end. Nine insecticide treatments were applied on 16 May with a CO2-powered backpack sprayer delivering 22.2 gal/acre of formulation at 35 psi. Three TX-12 hollow cone nozzles were arranged directly over each treated row. Number of aphids, budworms, and hornworms per 7 plants were recorded 3, 7, and 14 DAT.
