Modified anatase phase of TiO2 by WO3 nanoparticles: Structural, morphology and spectral evaluations

Popis: Anatase phase and tungsten doped anatase were successfully synthesised by low temperature photolysis method. The synthesized samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectrum, field emission scanning electron-energy dispersive, UV–Vis spectroscopy and photoluminescence. The results appear synthesis spherical agglomeration quantum dots as shown from scherre equation with anatase phase. XPS and Raman spectrum evidenced the successfully doping tungsten with 1 and 3% in the matrix of anatase without effect on the phase of TiO2 while the UV–Vis and PL spectrum indicate that the band gap and intensity of peak decreased with increasing tungsten ratio which indicate using as photocatalyst or in solar cell application.
