Popis: | Self-protection in WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks) has not been deeply studied because WSN has a high rate of fails. The major concern in WSN is to maximize the network’s Lifetime. In this work we propose and evaluate a WSN architecture consisting of nodes grouped in cell arrays. Sensors located in arrays of directional antennas may apply strategies of self-configuration and some mechanisms to protect themselves. In this paper we present three strategies of self-protection using geometrical arrays of directional antennas and incremental RSSI measuments. These strategies are: i) changes in frequency; ii) changes in the routing path; and iii) increments of transmission range. We propose a general scenario to analyze different possible situations and their most important managed parameters. The results of our simulations show that our self-protection strategies and mechanism based on geometrical arrays of directional antennas are suitable for WSN. |
