This study investigated two issues relating to orosensory skills of articulation disordered children. The first was the reliability of an oral form discrimination test. A preliminary study demonstrated that a single occasion of testing may be insufficient to provide a reliable result. The second issue was whether orosensory skills could be improved with oral form recognition training. A case study, on a five year old child, showed that such improvement could be obtained, but there was no concomitant improvement in articulation. Implications and suggestions for further research are discussed. |
