Popis:	Overview of the famous Ugra scientist Oleg R. Kotsyurbenko's scientific activities is given in connection with his anniversary. In the article presented separate publications by Prof. Kotsyurbenko, for some of them a brief summary. All the works under discussion are divided into two categories: microbiology and ecology. In addition, we are given a brief biography of O.R. Kotsyurbenko and a number of little-known photographs from different periods of his life.
