Popis:	Peculiarities of the biphasic regions at the direct and reverse phase transitions between homeotropic oriented nematic mesophase and isotropic liquid have been investigated in detail in this work. The shift of phase transition temperatures to the low temperatures by the reverse phase transitions have been observed for this mesophase. Nonlinearity of thermotropic and thermo-optical properties at the phase transitions between nematic mesophase and isotropic liquid have been found.
