Popis: Di-protonated 1,4,8,11-tetramethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane tetra-N-oxide takes the RSSR configuration and is stabilized by a pair of charge-assisted intramolecular [O–H⋯O]+ hydrogen bonds; the di-cation induces the formation of lanthanide(III) complexes [Ln(NO3)6]3− (Ln=Ce, La, Nd), [Er(NO3)3(H2O)3] and catena-[Ce(NO3)4(μ-NO3)]n2n−, the latter being a novel linear coordination polymer constructed by a bridging nitrate ligand functioning in the μ-O,O,O′,O′′ mode.
