Popis: The complete sequencing of the human genome has expanded our understanding of how gene expression influences our responses to nutrients. Numerous studies have elucidated important genetic signatures for nutrient-sensitive pathways and work is ongoing that will tell us how these pathways are genetically controlled. The purpose of this chapter is to describe how nutrients can affect the expression of a variety of genes. This area of nutrition research is especially active.
