Popis: | Recent studies, employing the synthetic peptide bovine PTH 1–34 and analogues of this peptide have led to the conclusion that the amino terminal 1–34 or perhaps even the 1–27 residues of the hormone represent a structure sufficient for the expression of a series of biological effects: elevation of serum calcium; increase in urinary phosphate clearance and decrease of urinary calcium clearance; increase in urinary cyclic AMP; and the stimulation of adenyl cyclase activity in renal cortical membrane suspension in vitro (10, 14, 13, 16). |
