Popis:	InP/InGaAsP diluted multiquantum well waveguides have been developed for butt-coupling with cleaved standard single-mode fibres of 11 mu m diameter. Coupling losses per facet as low as -1.2 dB, with -1 dB alignment tolerances of +or-2.5 mu m, have been measured at 1.55 mu m for both TE and TM modes. >
