In the Scientific Culture Unit of the IAA-CSIC we work in different formats to bring astrophysics to society. In addition to more traditional formats, such as talks, articles, audiovisuals, etc., we also explore different channels and formats. In this section you will find especially a good part of our on-line disclosure. In this talk we will talk about some of these projects such as: video blogs ("The Teslablog" and "The strange case of Henrrieta Leavit and Erasmus Cefeido"); Webseries, such as "El Astrónomo Indignado" and "Camino a Congreso"; Videos for visually impaired people ("The Universe in Words"); Remote observations, such as the one made on the occasion of the Saturn-Jupiter conjunction, and the recent broadcast through a Twitch channel with an in-person audience. We will analyze the advantages and disadvantages of this channel for these projects, as well as the mistakes and successes that have been made in them. |
