Popis: The time of consolidation, differentiation, and breakup of the parent bodies of meteorites are considered. The age of the substance of stony and iron meteorites are calculated on the basis of uranium, lead, and lead isotope composition. It is concluded that meteorites have at least two parent sources and that stony meteorites could have come from still other parent bodies. — M. Russell.
