The changing global youth population dynamics especially in the Asian region, along with a significant rise in skilled youth unemployment, has become a global concern. In developing countries in Asia, particularly, non-English speaking countries such as Thailand, most of the youth lack confidence, motivation, and English communication skills. To address these challenges, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Bangkok launched the STEAM Platform in 2018. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. This initiative aims to empower youth in Asia to become global leaders equipped with a convergence of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics or STEM knowledge, life cycle thinking and strategic communication skills, and entrepreneurship practices toward SDGs2030 and the Smart Circular economy transformation. |
