Popis: | Need for connected devices has been exponentially increasing starting from the early days of Internet. As the age of Internet of Things (IoT) is already here, we have to find ways to incorporate IoT into our existing and/or legacy wireless networks. We propose an approach to introduce a narrowband (NB) IoT solution to an existing cognitive radio (CR) network without degrading the quality of service. To that end, we specify the goals and conditions for the problem and formulate it in terms of a pattern selection (i.e., matrix construction) framework. We construct the optimization problems for different scenarios and propose heuristic algorithms to solve them. Finally, we provide numerical examples to illustrate the results and benefits of pattern selection algorithms and discuss possible extensions. |
