Popis: Our report1 details very clearly the reasons behind our conclusions that intellectual and behavioral effects, if any, of low levels of lead burden, appear to be minimal and nonpersistent. Poor science is characterized by failure to give due weight to limitations in results and to methodologic weaknesss and by inability to recognize a pattern of results that is not consistent with one's hypotheses or with one's own previous conclusions. The reservations expressed in the conclusions of our report are not the result of modesty but rather of adherence to stringent standards of scientific reasoning.
