The use of detailed spectroscopy to understand the processes which create and destroy 22Na was discussed. A reduction in the yield of 22Na was inferred from the hydrodynamical calculations incorporating the upper and lower limits. The accuracy of the excitation energy of the previous states was improved and the new states were identified in the relevant excitation region. A reduction in the maximum detectability distance for 22Na gamma rays from the novae was also shown. |
