Popis: Data have been generated on odor thresholds for 63 industrial chemicals; 46 of these also have been evaluated for taste threshold. A standard odor comparison substance, lbutanol, was used to compare the panel’s values with values reported in the literature. The lowest odor threshold observed was 0.0008 mg/L for number 2 fuel oil. Naphtha gave the lowest taste threshold (0.02 mg/L). The effect of water temperature (60” C to 20” C) on odor threshold was tested for three chemicals. The odor thresholds measured at 60” C should be applicable at ambient temperature.
