Popis: The present work was intended to investigate the static behavior of the whisker field lines of Heliotron E in terms of the workable connection length which could be closely connected with the vacuum resistance. As the first step of such a motivation, this paper discusses the observable topology of periphery magnetic field lines of Heliotron E. The behavior of whisker and inter-whisker field lines was specifically identified. Perturbation-field effects on the whisker topology were also discussed experimentally with special regard to the stability of the edge topology. 2 refs., 4 figs.
