Popis: | Application of the law of progressive evolution of technology to molding equipment in refractory production is considered. The basic groups of contradictions that control the evolution of molding equipment are formulated. The stages of development of demands for refractories and technology are characterized. It is these demands that initiate changes to new types of molding equipment. The historical stages of modification of bend-lever presses, mechanical presses with rotary tables, hydraulic presses, and screw presses are described from the dialectic standpoint. Some examples of poor designs of presses and the reasons for these designs are considered. Recommendations on limits of nominal stresses are formulated for different kinds of presses. It is shown that it is advantageous to batch the material into the mold by volume, with control of the height of filling. |
