Popis:	Practical resolution of twelve hexene isomers is described. Total analysis time is forty minutes and separation is effected by means of a 100 metre squalane coated capillary column maintained at 0°C. Details of a technique allowing the rapid determination of the skeletal distribution of these isomers is given. Olefins are hydrogenated via a catalyst-containing liner which is itself part of a modified injection block. Hydrogen is used both as reactant and carrier gas in this process.
