Popis: A Basic program to compute the population parameters of the Jolly-Seber stochastic model for capture/recapture data is presented with an example. The program calculates the proportions and numbers of marked animals, the population size, the probability of survival, and the number of new animals entering the population as well as the standard errors for the last three parameters on any sampling day. With slight modifications, the program can be used with any computer system with BASIC editor. The number of sampling occasions to be processed depends on the memory capacity of the system in use. With 12K RAM, up to 20 samples can be processed.
