Popis: The purpose of this study is to develop the High School Students’ Attitudes Toward the Teaching Profession Scale and find the relation these attitudes have with professional values. Three applications were made during the study: an exploratory factor analysis applied to 341 high school students, a confirmatory factor analysis applied to 204 high school students, and a final application made with 298 high school students after confirming the validity and reliability. The final application identified students’ attitudes and examined their relationship to professional values. This research is a descriptive and correlational survey. The scale has been revealed to be formed of 16 items with 3 sub-dimensions. These formed items explain 50% of the variance. The reliability of the scale has been determined as 0.82. While the students view teaching as a sacred profession, they would do not prefer it. Additionally, students have the opinion that teaching is not given enough value. The scale’s sub-dimension of Teaching Profession’s Contribution to Society has been determined to have a positive and significant correlation with nine different professional values.
