Popis: | Diphenylacetylene reacts with the pyrolysis product of bis(cyclopentadienyl)-bis( o -fluorophenyl)titanium to afford predominantly one isomer of the expected titanole. The crystal structure of the Cr(CO) 3 derivative 4 of the titanole shows that the fluorine is in the 7-position indicating that attack of the acetylene on the benzyne intermediate occurs along the less sterically hindered path. Compound 4 : monoclinic, Cc , a = 7.983(2) A, b = 19.602(4) A, c = 16.834(4) A, β = 91.59(2)°. R f = 0.052 from 1069 observed reflections. |
