This chapter provides detailed discussions and illustrations of four complex orthognathic case presentations that heavily utilized and benefited from the concept of 3D treatment planning. The first case demonstrates the combined use of clear aligner therapy with orthognathic surgery, along with the novel appliance we call the Clear Aligner Orthognathic Splint (CAOS). The second case involves a patient with osteochondroma being treated with total joint replacement performed with 3D diagnosis, planning, and printing of prosthesis. The third case illustrates a surgery-first approach for the treatment of anterior disc displacement without reduction. The final case highlights the management of idiopathic condylar resorption following orthognathic surgery. |
