Popis: | A superconducting tunnel junction will undergo relaxation oscillations when biased with an active voltage source along the negative conductance portion of its I‐V characteristic. A simple calculation yields an implicit equation for this frequency f in terms of the circuit and junction parameters which is in qualitative agreement with experiment. Measurements on Al*‐Pb : Bi junctions with transition temperature Tc(Al*) ∼1.8 K, over the temperature range 1.3 K |
