Popis: | Photocatalysis is a promising technique for converting solar energy into renewable and storable chemical energy by solar-driven water splitting. Various sustainable efforts have been developed for the production of hydrogen from direct water splitting under sunlight irradiation. The semiconductors play major roles in the photocatalytic water splitting into hydrogen and oxygen as simultaneous oxidation and reduction because of the conduction and valence bands present in semiconductors. The development of novel semiconductors photocatalytic systems is highly desirable to produce hydrogen. Any semiconducting materials have been fabricated for the photocatalytic driving of hydrogen production by water splitting. The splitting of water to produce hydrogen using photocatalytic effect is nontoxic, less expensive, and very convenient. |
