Popis:	Over the past few years (2017–19) there has been a steep rise in queer parenthood and same-sex ‘marriage’ along with a significant increase in pet ownership in Western countries. This article explores shifting trends in pet ownership and the ways that young LGBTQ+ couples are planning their futures together, around and through their pets. This futurity and investment in household often serves to consolidate heteronormativity and the traditional discourses of family planning.
