Popis:	Polyvinyl alcohol may be reacted with methoxyacetaldehyde, 2-methoxyethoxyacetaldehyde, 2-methoxyethoxyacetaldehyde, 2-n-propoxyethoxyacetaldehyde, tetrahydrofurfuryloxyacetaldehyde, or 3-methoxypropionaldehyde, or with mixtures of these aldehydes, to yield thermoplastic resins which are soluble in cold water below specific temperatures peculiar to each resin, and which are soluble in most organic solvents except aliphatic hydrocarbons.
