The ISES model provides developers and users of hyperspectral optical instrumentation the means to evaluate instrument level performance as well as simulate hyperspectral images from space-based and airborne remote sensors. Instrument features modeled are: the foreoptics and monochromator optical design including the dispersive element, a large area two dimensional detector focal plane array, and the associated signal and data processing. The ISES code has been used to evaluate the performance of satellite based hyperspectral instrument design concepts as well as simulate space-based imagery collections using high spatial and spectral resolution airborne imagery data bases.© (1995) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
