Popis:	Traditional pastured cow-calf (Bos taurus L.) herds are disappearing from cropable lands. Some cropland farmers may have the ability and facilities to add semiconfinement cow-calf herds to their grain farms. This study demonstrates a technique for determining the feasibility of adding a semiconfinement cow herd to a farm specializing in grain production. Thirty years (1958 to 1987) of crop yields and prices are used to establish profitability over several cattle cycles.
