In this paper, we report on the performance of a H 2 S sensor based on polyaniline–CdS nanocomposites fabricated by a simple spin coating technique. The nanocomposites showed the sensitivity to H 2 S gas at room temperature (300 K). The resistance of polyaniline–CdS nanocomposites showed a considerable change when exposed to various concentrations of H 2 S. Maximum response up to 48% was achieved for 100 ppm H 2 S for PANi–CdS sensor. Depending on the concentration of H 2 S, the response time was in the range of 41 and 71 s, whereas the recovery time was in the range of 345–518 s. |
