Popis:	The relative importance of the forces which have stressed north-central Oklahoma, and the regional nature of the vertical stresses, are pointed out. There follows a discussion of vertical stresses and their local effect as determined by the pre-existing character of the pre-Cambrian complex. The theory is advanced for the origin of many of the structures by local differential movements in a mass of rock which is being regionally tilted by vertical stresses.
